Melbourne & Activities
Located on Australia's southeast coat, the city of Melbourne is voted the 3rd most liveable city in the world.
The Conference is being held at the Sebel Albert Park Hotel which is located in cosmopolitan Albert Park moments from the beach and perfectly situated to enjoy all of Melbourne's attractions.
Greater Melbourne is set around the shores of Port Phillip Bay, while the city centre is laid out in a large rectangle on the northern banks of the Yarra River, about five kilometres from the bay.
This lively and cosmopolitan city combines a fanatical love for the creative arts and good living with a state-wide sports addiction to make a city like no other. Melbourne revolves around food, art, music, wine and football.
Wominjeka Yearmenn Bunjilaka
Bunjilaka is the Aboriginal Centre at Melbourne Museum, a venue of Museum Victoria. It was developed to empower Aboriginal people to interpret their own cultural heritage for both Indigenous and non-Indigenous people.
Bunjilaka holds Aboriginal cultural heritage items from a collection that is one of the most significant in the world. In addition to exhibition and performance spaces, there are private areas such as a Keeping Place where the community can meet and view their cultural heritage material. This enables Aboriginal people to retain ownership and interpretation of the Aboriginal Cultural Heritage material in Museum Victoria's collections and actively and directly contribute to the preservation of their culture.
We encourage Conference delegates to visit Bunjilaka to view Cultural Heritage Collection.
The Museum is open 10am to 5pm every day of the week. General admission to the Gallery is $8.00.
